Turnip for the books

Bought (yes that's right, i BOUGHT!) Unreal Tournament 3 for the pc on saturday.

It was like putting an old pair of slippers back on was playing with a keyboard and mouse again. Feels so comfortable and responsive compared to a controller. There's just no comparison for first person shooters.

Only bugger is i can't run it on super hires so everything looks a bit pixellated now compared to the 360.

But diyyam, it's enjoyable. Haven't played online yet but i'm actually looking forward. It's probably the only game where i can hold my own against real people and i have so missed playing with a mouse again.

I would highly recommend getting it when it comes out on the 360. Million times better than Halo and being on a hoverboard latching onto a vehicle is tres cool.

Surely it can only be a matter of time before someone at M$ realises that people out here in the real world want a mouse option on the Xbox 360, FPS demand the accuracy that a mouse offers, the game controller just doesn't cut it in the heat of battle!!!

You got that right renegade.

You can get a usb dongle that allows you to connect a keyboard and mouse already for it. How good it is i don't know.

Already have a keyboard hooked up to my 360, but not a mouse. Might have to try my USB mouse and see what happens, can't imagine anything good!!! Was going to ask for your opinion on the dashboard update, but then thought about......

I too feel much more at home using a keyboard/mouse for a FPS, a console controller just doesn't feel right (except for maybe N64 Goldeneye).

Only thing is, a PC is usually on a desk, so you have a nice sturdy flat surface to put the keyboard & mouse on, whereas a console is usually connected up to a big TV, and you're sat on the sofa/chair, so using a keyboard & mouse is tricky.

You wanna get one of them tv trays that have the bean bag attached to the underneath. Or a bed table. Or something like that. I don't really care.
